Story about the Lord of the Isles visiting Gordon Castle [Moireabh/Morayshire] in which the Duchess of Gordon sent him away, scolding him for visiting when her husband was not at home. When the Duke returned she told him that Alasdair Rua[dh] Buachaille nan Eileanan had called but she had sent him away. The Duke immediately went after him and brought him 'back in his care to the Duchess['s] confusion.'

Story entitled 'Christ' probably collected from Catherine MacLean, crofter, Naast, Gairloch, Ross and Cromarty [Nàst, Geàrr Loch, Ros is Cromba]. The story tells of a woman who was suffering from a swollen breast and is healed by Christ. Catherine states that she healed ten or twelve similar cases in Gairloch and in Morayshire [Moireibh]. Text has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.
