Produced for exhibition entitled "Made from Girders" on 6th August 1987 at the Talbot Rice Gallery, University of Edinburgh, from old photograph entitled: "Evelyn Carey: The Forth Bridge from Blackness Castle (detail) March 13, 1889." Text on card reads "sponsored by Mobil". The card is in the form of an invitation.

A series of 64x 35mm film negatives and 64x contact prints which relate to The Geddes Trail in Edinburgh. Most probably created c. 1985 by the then Patrick Geddes Centre for Planning Studies, University of Edinburgh.

Scope and Contents 8 items that were exhibited in the "Great Fire of Edinburgh" section of Geddes' replacement "Cities and Town Planning Exhibition", (1914). The Great Fire of Edinburgh was one of the most destructive fires in the history of Edinburgh, burning for almost 7 days between 15-21 November 1824. The fire damaged an estimated 400 homes, including buildings on the Royal Mile, Conn's Close, Old Assembly Close, Borthwick's Close, Old Fishmarket Close, Parliament Close with the loss of several...
