A lithograph showing a view of the West Bow, published by Hugh Paton, Her Majesty's carver and gilder. Undated, c. 1860. Re-framed at some point in the second part of the twentieth century.

An extract from the catalogue of the "Cities and Town Planning Exhibition", Dublin (Ui Breasail) reads: "Ancient approach to the Town from the South West. Destroyed 1820-1830. Its peculiar form was probably conditioned by cultivation terraces utilised for strategic reasons." (p. 38).
