Scope and Contents South part of Tron Square. Tron Square consists of two rectangular courts, each with buildings on three sides and the south side open. The North part, which is the first part to be approached from High Street via Old Assembly Close, is at a higher elevation, so that the flats in it overlook the backs of those in the South part, which is turn has now a view across the Cowgate to the tall buidlings in Guthrie Street and Chambers Street beyond.
