This must show the construction of, presumably, the main road linking London Road and Portobello Road, and Duddingston Road with Milton Road West, coming round the north-east side of Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat. Handwritten title on the original envelope containing the corresponding glass plate negatives was written by Alasdair Geddes.
