Likely to be a duplicate of a drawing by Bruce J. Home of Whitehorse Close, included in the "Old Houses in Edinburgh" (1904-1907). Whitehorse Close was restored by Dr Barbour at the suggestion of Patrick Geddes.

Scope and Contents

This must show the construction of, presumably, the main road linking London Road and Portobello Road, and Duddingston Road with Milton Road West, coming round the north-east side of Holyrood Park and Arthur's Seat. Handwritten title on the original envelope containing the corresponding glass plate negatives was written by Alasdair Geddes.
