A leaflet, "Horror in her Vanity Case", by William Hamilton for a Sunday Mirror enquiry, 1974. The leaflet contains an article on the use of animals being used for experiments in the beauty industry.

It was reprinted from the Sunday Mirror by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection in 1981, and withdrawn 2nd February 1983.

Two were published by the National Anti-Vivisection Society London One was published by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection with the painting "Saved"

A pamphlet titled "How Dogs and Monkeys are Treated in London", about the use of dogs and monkeys in vivisection. The society who published it is disputed on the front cover. It is printed as the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection, London. Stamped on top of that it the Scottish Anti-Vivisection Society, Glasgow. Above that is stamped the Scottish Anti Vivisection Society, Glasgow.

Jack a Mendicant, 1901

"Jack, a Mendicant", written by C.L. Pirkis, is in its seventh edition here. Originally published in 1901 by the National Canine Defence League, the story is about a dog called Jack who is taken away from his owner, a blind beggar. Later in the story the beggar discovers it is a vivisector who took his dog away. The tale does not end happily.
