Scope and Contents

Five bound volumes of newspaper cuttings which relate to the work of the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection between 1975-1986.

The articles collected are a combination of animal welfare stories which span vivisection, farming, animal cruelty and beyond. Not all relate to the organisation but to animal welfare as a whole.

These pamphlets contain the opinions of medical professionals who are against vivisection.

On the pamphlets, it states the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection, 47 Whitehall, London, however the original print has been crossed out and replaced with "issued by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection"
