Story about a charm for healing collected from Kate MacPhail née Ross, from Bishop Kinkell [Ceann a' Choille, Siorramachd Ros agus Cromba/Ross and Cromarty]. Kate's brother had a barley awn in his eye and went to Donald MacKinnon in Arcan, Urray who put an awn in his mouth and in doing so healed her brother. There is an address for a [-] Fraser, esquire in Strathpeffer attached to the story. Text has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.

His wife had a mote in her eye and he was told to visit Ceite Vic Rath Bean Mhic Connich [Kate MacRae] [Arcan, Ros is Cromba/Ross and Cromarty] who provided him with 'eòlas' [a charm]. Story about a child abducted by an eagle collected from Donald Currie, crofter, Baile Meadhanach/Ballymeanach, Ìle/Islay, which tells how a Colbhasa/Colonsay woman left her child rolled in a blanket on the ground while at the sheiling, but it was lifted by an eagle which carried it to Islay and laid it down on a hillock, which Donald's grandfather was hiding behind. The story concludes that 'The child screamed.'

Story about a colt appearing amongst a farmer's horses, March 1874

Story about a colt appearing amongst a farmer's horses and frightening them. The farmer tried to chase the colt away and when he caught its mane he noticed it was full of 'rafagaich + sand' and so turned it around and the beast went towards and into the lake. His wife attributed their safety from beasts to the morning blessing.

Story about a cow concealing her calf collected from Mr John MacDonald, Newton, N[orth] Uist [Port nan Long, Uibhist a Tuath] in which MacDonald suspects a cow of having calved while ferrying heifers from Toraghey, Sound of Harris [Torogaigh, Caolas na Hearadh]. He gets his men to search the island but none was found until MacDonald accidentally stumbled upon the calf himself. Additions have been made to the text in pencil.

He went looking for it calling the cow's name and as he passed a fairy hill called 'Sithean Beag' he heard a voice saying 'Tha mi so tha mi so I am here I am here.'
