Story about a herd sent away by a baillie to Duntanachan, 1884
Story about a herd who was sent away by 'Baile na Cille' [baillie] from Cill to Duntannachain [Duntanachan, Earra Ghàidheal/Argyllshire], his possessions being put into creels and not carts. The baillie's man told him that the herd had said that no matter what he would choose to return, 'Gad chi mi Mhaol o'ar...Bi mo raghin bhi tilleadh', and on hearing this the baillie told his man to go and bring the herd home.
Story about a La Fheill Padruig and accompanying verse, 1901
Story about a La Fheill Padruig [St Patrick's Day] in which a man in Bailechaolas [Caolas, Bhatarsaigh/Vatersay] sees that the weather is bad and decides to observe La Fheill Padruig by not working. The following day is even worse and the house is buried in snow. The accompanying verse begins 'Dhia bean[naich] mi, Chuala Padruig Domh[null] dubh'. The text has been scored through.

Story about a lament [probably Cumha Mhic an Tòisich] probably collected from Marion MacNeil, Ceanntangabhal/Kentangaval, Barraigh/Isle of Barra, telling how it was composed by a lady whose husband was killed on his return from being married. His death by a black horse had been predicted so he struck the black horse with his pistol and took a white horse instead but he was careless and his feet got tangled in the stirrups and he was dragged along the ground by the horse and was killed.

Story about a large fish, which was caught at Diabaig in Torasdan [Toirbheartan/Torridon, Ros is Cromba/Ross and Cromarty]. It was eighteen inches long and a red tape was tied around its tail. It was caught on the East Coast the following season. The text has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.

Story about a man calling for the Baron [Bachuil] on his death-bed collected from Donald MacGregor, Baile Garbh/Bailegarve, Lios Mòr/Lismore. The man's wife sent for the Baron but despatched another messenger afterwards saying that he need not come after all. The man cried 'O am Baron am Baron. Tha ghaoil bha gaoil agads air a bheir[e]adh riabh,' and then he died.
