A report of investivations on the continent in 1933 carried out under the auspices of the Council of Justice to Animals and Humane Slaughter Association (Scotland) and the National Council to Prevent the Export of Hoses for Butchery (London), 1st February 1933. Sums of money for the cause were to be made payable to Miss Netta Ivory, of the SSPV.

The report contains information of the procedures for the export of horses including procedures at the ports of embarkation, the voyage, the ports the horses are going to, methods of killing, proposals from the RSPCA and reports on the conditions of ports and slaughter houses.

This was prepared and published by the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, for the Humane Societies of the United States.

The document asks that all animals should be rendered 'unconscious by some humane device of every food animal before the drawing of blood.'
