The name of the individual from whom it was collected has not been recorded. The text has been scored through in ink and a transverse note reads 'Transcribed into MS Book No II page 329 A[lexander]. A[rchibald]. C[armichael].'

The song has twenty-two verses and was transcribed from [field] notebook number I, page 17. Two additions have been made to the text in pencil.
