Lullaby entitled 'Tri Talaidhean na h-Alba' [or Bràigh Loch Iall] beginning 'O bha ho na aoir i u o i ', probably collected from Peigi Robastan nean Alastair 'Ic Aulai [Peggy Robertson], Howmore [Tobha Mòr, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist]. The song contains twenty-three lines. The text has been scored through and a note reads 'Transcribed May 6 1869 A[lexander] A[rchibald] C[armichael]'.

Milking song entitled 'Tuladh a Chruidh' beginning 'Bi buar shiod eir na h aighean laoi so' probably collected from Mary Stewart, age 76, Malacleit [Malaclate, Uibhist a Tuath/North Uist] also known as Màiri Bhreac, sean bhanachaig [old dairywoman]. The song is composed of thirteen lines with the first three being arranged in a separate stanza to the remaining ten. The text has been scored over with note saying 'Transcribed'.

Note collected from Duncan Cameron, police officer, Lochaline [Loch Àlainn, Earra Ghàidheal/Argyllshire] about waulking songs describing how six women work at fulling the cloth, one woman sings and the rest sing the chorus. 'No song must be sang (sic) twice or else it [takes] back the cloth.' There are also fragments of lines from waulking songs.
