Convalescent Home Registers, 1920 - 1954
These registers are for Muirfield House and provide the patients number in the hospital register, sex, age, name of patient, address, occupation of parent, date of admission, ward number, disease or operation required, date of removal to Muirfield, date of discharge and number of days at Muirfield.
General Register of Patients, 1817 - 1965
Volumes 1 to 11 of the Register incurred water damage during 1982 and some entries at the beginning and end of certain volumes are now illegible.
Letter to James Cossar Ewart from James N. Forsyth, 07 April 1906
Forsyth writes that he has written in the annual report that they are considering granting a small premium to encourage the people to keep their best filly foals. He asks Ewart to visit South Uist, Benbecula and Barra and proposes that the form of the Register should be a number of ruled books.
Maternity Registers , 1933-1940
Bound volumes with a double page for each patient. The left hand page gives the mother’s name, address, age, number, details of labour, delivery, etc. The right hand page gives a daily table of the health and bodily functions of mother and baby during their stay at the hospital.
