Series of five illustrations demonstrating a procedure to remove an aneurysm in the brain. Labelled A to E. Illustrations show the stages involved in the removal of a complex intracranial aneurysm. A) overall view of the patient's head and the planned line of surgical incision, B) craniotomy has been performed to reveal the blood vessels on the surface of the brain, C, D, and E) ligation of blood vessels supplying the aneurysm to facilitate removal.
