The front of the book contains the subscription details of those who were in the Scottish Tail Waggers Club between the dates of 1945-1960

At the rear of the book are details of those who left legacies to the animal charity from 1957-1999. The details include the name of the person who left a legacy, their address, the name of their solicitor, and how much was left.

The volume contains details of the date, the name of the dog and owner, subscription paid, and a running total. The information reduces to the name of the dog and a reference number after 1935.

It was published by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection.

"The Futility of Experiments on Animal", was an essay written by H. Fergie Woods, issued by the Animal Defence and Anti-Vivisection Society. The pamphlet is an argument against the use of animals in scientific experiments.
