Manuscript volume of lecture notes, entitled: "Notes on Cattle-Pathology from Professor Dr Strangeways' Lectures. By Thomas Smith. Edinburgh 1860-61. Copied by George Greig Jr 1869". This title occurs midway through the volume, on p. 244, therefore it may not refer to earlier pages. The first page's title reads, "Anatomy of the Animal Body".

A bronze and a silver medals in their cases awarded to Peter Haugh in the University's Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies for Zoology and Botany (1903-1904) and for Clinique (1906-1907); and three bronze medals from Edinburgh University awarded to Samuel M. Inkster for Chemistry (1869), General Pathology and Morbid Anatomy (1870-1871) and Practice of Medicine (1872-1873). Also includes an article by Gregor Macaulay explaining the medals.

Content Description This fonds consists of the student archive of Frederick (Fred) Hugh McMillen, created when he was a student at the Royal (Dick) Veterinary College from 1938 to 1943. Both groups are posing in front of William Dick's statue in the courtyard of the Clyde Street Building, which was used by the College from 1829 to 1916. The 1897 group includes a horse.
