Scope and Contents
Song beginning 'Gorag nach teid [th]u dh'Iain duigh', probably collected from Catherine MacFarlane née MacPherson, Ceanntangabhal/Kentangaval, Barraigh/Isle of Barra. The song has a note written transversely over the top of it and the text of the preceding item which reads 'The fairy daughter was asked in marriage by a man who she did not like & her mother pressed her to marry him rather than the empty handed one in orthodox fashion'. It is also noted that 'The fancy loon was killed by the brother'.
