Story, 21 August 1909
Scope and Contents
Story collected from [-] MacLean about a man in Lochs [Na Lochan, Eilean Leòdhais/Isle of Lewis] who emigrated to Australia to seek his fortune and was to send for his wife and family when he was able. His wife did not hear from him for three years and so she went to a woman to ask for help. She went into a trance and on wakening up told the wife that her husband was safe and well and that although he hadn't written to her he would do so without delay. Three months later she received a letter from him. The story is incomplete and has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.
