The paper is very weak. Due to ongoing folding of the pages, the crease in the centre of each page is at high risk of laceration. The handwriting is clear and the ink is unfaded. However, due to the weakness of the paper, the writing on the converse is visible through the paper and obscures some of the writing on the page that is being read.
