'Religious prose literature: Originals and translations', Late 19th or early 20th century
Scope and Contents
Despite the title of the notebook, and previous historical records of the notebook, there is very little Gaelic in this notebook. The notebook appears to include a discussion of the history of religious prose.
Dates
- Creation: Late 19th or early 20th century
Language of Materials
English
Physical Description
The pages are in good condition and the binding is well-preserved. The ink is unfaded, although the handwriting may require some concentration to decipher. Mackinnon has a tendency to use abbreviations, e.g. 'rel' probably means 'religious'. There are some pages inserted from other documents, which have not been attached to the notebook. Therefore, modern string and a modern paperclip are together used to hold these additional loose pages together with this notebook.
