This folder contains papers relating to Gilbert Young Kennedy (1916-2000), Irene's first cousin, Head of Cancer Research at the University of Sheffield. Kennedy had worked at the Porton Down Chemical Warfare Establishment during the war, and later in biochemistry and on research into porphyrins. He taught at both Charterhouse and Uppingham schools and was also a musician of distinction.
