The original plate was deposited with the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland by order of the Right Honble The Barons of Exchequer.

A card is attached with title and number H.21. Pencilled note reads for exhibition 1954, Prof. P. Johnson-Marshall. Within the image background are visible the spire of Victoria Hall, St Johns Tolbooth Church) is visible in background. Number on back reads A1 - 112.
