Inserted into the first border there is a coat of arms of Anne of Brittany, Queen of France. She married Charles VIII of France in 1491 and later his successor, Louis XII in 1499. Possibly the final leaves from a French Book of Hours, this fragment contains the hymn Gaude pia magdalena (f. 1r) . The Collect is on f. 1v: Largire nobis clementissime pater for S. Mary Magdalene. The Anthem, Supernus hospes intravit follows this, and then [Verse] O beata Martha. Oremus is before the Collect, but the leaf ends here and the prayer is missing....
