The Scottish National Zoological Park Guide, Seventeenth Edition, 1950
A guide to the Scottish Zoological Park (now Edinburgh Zoo) written by Thomas Gillespie. This is the seventeenth edition of the guide, dating from roughly 1950.
The guide contains a fold out map of the zoo site, information on the RZSS council, hours and terms of admission to the park, feeding times, care of the animals, information on all the animals at the zoological park. The publication is full of photographs showing the animals at the zoo, the estate, and staff.
