This an original letter written and signed by Sir Leonard Rogers, sent to a "young Duchess", Plymouth, 1 May 1903. The letter discusses his recent holiday to Newquay, Bodmin Moor, and other areas of interest. Part of the letter discusses his treating of Malaria at the hospital in Plymouth and some of his findings.

Correspondence with David Walliker, 1965-1988

Correspondence chiefly concerns the establishment and progress of Walliker's MRC research programme at the Institute of Animal Genetics, conditions regarding his grant and Beale's recommendation of him for a University professorship.

The correspondence spans Carter's appointment to Beale's research group, his ongoing research and his work at the National Institutes of Health, Maryland. Also present are letters from the Medical Research Council regarding funding for Carter's post and Beale and Carter's reports of work to the Council.

Much of the correspondence appears to consist of Carter's letters to Beale, with copies of Beale's replies not present.
