The article concerns the work of the Pasteur Institute in resaerching cures for diseases such as tuberculosis and polio in humans, along with a host of diseases in animals.

Three copies of "Recent Medical Opinions Against Vivisection" collected for the use of the Conference of British Anti-Vivisection Societies".

These pamphlets contain the opinions of medical professionals who are against vivisection.

On the pamphlets, it states the British Union for the Abolition of Vivisection, 47 Whitehall, London, however the original print has been crossed out and replaced with "issued by the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection"

A print out of a lecture, given by B.P. Allison, M.R.C.S., L.R.C.P, given under the auspices of the Health Education and Research Council, London, under the title "Unnecessary Operations".

The lecture investigates alternatives to invasive surgery, particularly focussing on the diseases of the ear, nose and throat.
