The Scottish Society for the Prevention of Vivisection set up the magazine "Our Fellow Mortals" when the SSPV was still a branch of the National Anti-Vivisection Society in April 1911. The concept was spearheaded by the Aberdeenshire branch of the society.

This leaflet was distributed throughout the UK for free during it's publication era.

Alongside copies of the magazines are illustrations, both copies and originals, which were used in the publication.
