Song/Prayer collected from Duncan MacLellan, clachair [mason], Càrnan/Carnan, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist, beginning 'Noc oiche chrochari chruai, Ceann cruai ris na chroch Criost'. Carmichael notes the dinal line 'Criost cleir os ar cionn' as being repeated. Text has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.

Story collected from Duncan MacDonald, Donnachadh Mac an Taillear [Donnachadh Mac an Tàillear], from Snaosveall [Sniseabhal/Snishival, Uibhist a Deas/South Uist], which Duncan had heard from his father, who died over 40 years before [c.1829] aged about 80 years. The story is about a rescue by Cuchulainn.

The story tells how [Bera] went away on a visit and having 'stayed too long' discovered on her return that 'the lid of the well was off + Loch Awe the result'. She then sang a song beginning 'A sniomh mo chuigeil'. Text has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.
