Song entitled 'Aoi Na Dean Cadal Idir' probably collected from Mary MacRae, Dùnan, Letterfearn, Ros is Cromba/Ross and Cromarty, beginning 'S aoi na dean cadal idir, S aoi cha dean cad[al] trom'. The song is a lullaby and the note states that it was a warning from the girl minding the child to the aoi [aoidh or guest], whom she knew, that they were going to kill him. The girl was from Dochanassai [Dochanassie, Inverness-shire]. The song is composed of seven lines. Text has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.
