Scope and Contents 6 black and white photographic prints (21cm x 22cm) showing an architectural model commissioned by the Town Planning Division of London County Council Architect's Department. The model shows the Market Square scheme for Lansbury Neighbourhood, part of the London County Council Comprehensive Development Area no 2: Stepney / Poplar at 1/16" scale. The market was designed by Sir Frederick Ernest Gibberd.

This is the area which comprised the "Live Architecture" Exhibition for the Festival of Britain in 1951.

Scope and Contents This file contains a letter dated 17 July 1933 written by John Macmurray from University College, London to a Miss How (Joyce Roberts, nee How) saying he was unable to address the S.C.M at Bedford College, and signed by him. S.C.M possibly stands for 'Student Christian movement'. There is also a photo of Macmurray walking with an unknown individual.

Letter (incomplete) to James Cossar Ewart from unknown author, 14 May 1899

Scope and Contents The letter's author is a former pupil and assistant demonstrator of Ewart's (from around 1891), working in Africa as a government medical officer. He writes that he is sending Ewart the skins of two zebra mares which he has shot, and offers to try and get more skins, and to take photographs of various game.

The latter part of the letter, with author signature, is not present.

Letter to James Cossar Ewart from Albert Sherbourne Le Souef, 26 May 1930

Scope and Contents Le Souef asks Ewart to procure some photographs of hybrid 'Psoa' sheep and a typical sample of wool from Gillespie. Some pastoralists have expressed an interest in the wool from these sheep as it may make a better tweed-like cloth when mixed with Merino. He reports that he has worked out a scheme which he hopes will lead to the production of many quality skins from colder districts.
