Story about the building of a lighthouse on Eilean O-bharsa [Orasaigh/Orsay, Ìle/Islay] that it was built over [Hugh] Mackay's tomb by the Commissioners of Lighthouses [Northern Lighthouse Board] and that whole bodies were wheeled down to Geo-cho'air [Geòdh Chobhair]. The vocabulary note states that 'Seargach' 'Sea foam' or 'tough foam' and 'Co'ar' [cobhar] is 'fresh water foam'.

Story about the cuach [drinking cup] at Taigh Gige [Tigh Dige or Flowerdale House, Geàrrloch/Gairloch, Ros is Cromba/Ross and Cromarty] that it was only ever drunk from by the seanachas and that it was a very large cup. An accompanying vocabulary note reads 'Conch = Conachag Conachocan.'

Story about whales and sharks probably collected on Ìle/Islay describing the whales a leaping twenty feet high and continuing to jump a long way from Glass Light up to Loch Bhrollam [Eilean Glas, Na Hearadh/Isle of Harris and Loch Bhrollauim, Eilean Leòdhais/Isle of Lewis]. Also makes notes about squid and describes the teeth, fins and blood of shark-like creatures. Text has been scored through as if transcribed elsewhere.

MacAulay states that morgan [dog-fish] stick to rocks like muc-creige [wrasse] and that an eel once caught a man at Lochdibaig [Loch Diabaig, Ros is Cromba/Ross and Cromarty] but he killed it and found it was full of goll-luachair [reeds] which are used by coopers for barrels. Story entitled 'An leanabh Ileach' in which a mother feeding her child spills egg over its mouth but pretends that it is ruddy and healthy 'Mo ruiteachan mo ruiteachan' but the child points out that the food missed his mouth.
